POWER OF ATTORNEY You can appoint another person to sign documents and deal with matters on your behalf in your absence (eg if you are overseas) by creating a document called a Power of Attorney. The person whom you are appointing to transact such business is called an Attorney. This is frequently done in situations where you require somebody to sign documents to sub-let your flat, to sign the sale or purchase documents or to conduct some other matter on your behalf and in your absence. As the Attorney has far reaching powers, it is imperative that the Attorney is someone you trust very much. Certain documents however would still require your personal execution, despite the creation of aforesaid document. Such document include Statutory Declaration. The Power of Attorney has to be signed before a solicitor and registered at the Supreme Court. The registration is done through electronic filing. If you wish to create a Power of Attorney (HDB flat), please fill in the below form and submit to us. The professional fee is $280/- excluding disbursements. The document is usually ready for signature within 3 days of the receipt of payment of half of the aforesaid fee. You may pay the balance when you sign the document in our presence.
